Why is the flu vaccination for children important?

Flu is unpredictable. It can be a serious illness that leads to complications like bronchitis and pneumonia, and painful ear infection in children. Children under the age of 5 years old have the highest rate of hospital admission of any age group.

How will we be able to sign up for consent?

SHFT School Age Immunisation Service are now implementing an electronic consent process.
The electronic consent process involves the school sending a link to parent/carers to access the electronic consent form.
You can then complete the required information and submit the completed form which will be managed by our service.
This means that the distribution and collection of paper consent forms is no longer required.
We acknowledge that not all parents have access to a computer; are not completely at ease using the internet, and may have some difficulties completing the consent form in this way, therefore please contact us for further information.
