MMR The MMR is a safe and effective combined vaccine which protects against three serious illnesses – measles, mumps and rubella. These highly infectious conditions can spread between unvaccinated people. Two doses of MMR vaccines provide the best protection and are usually given at ages 1 and 3½. During the pandemic, a lot of children missed their routine MMR vaccination.
The service will offer catch up sessions for outstanding vaccinations (including MMR) to all children and young people up to age 16 or the end of Year 11.
